Jean-Pierre Veilleux

Jean-Pierre is a fluently bilingual senior brand communications and creative consultant who leads the planning, strategy, design and implementation of brand and marketing communications programs. He has over twenty-five years of experience acquired as a senior branding executive with leading brand consultancies, where his focus has been on helping public and private sector organizations leverage the power of branding and communications toward the achievement of their business goals.

Prior to Retool Lab, Jean-Pierre joined Argyle Public Relationships, co-founded Argyle Brand Counsel. He is presently independent Senior Counsel, Brand and Design for Argyle Public Relationships. He was previously Vice President, Brand Communications and Design with the Publicis Group, Canada.

Jean-Pierre is a graduate of the Ontario College of Art and Design (OCADU) in Toronto, as well as the Strategic Marketing Management program and the Innovation in Marketing Management program of the Richard Ivey School of Business.

Rob is a strategic thinker who helps clients understand their core strengths so they can tell a better story, connect audiences to their leading ideas, and position themselves as leaders in their field. An experienced strategist, writer, and editor focused on the impact ideas and content have on deepening brand meaning and extending awareness, he is passionate about helping organizations think critically about their leadership space, and leveraging their unique knowledge to articulate their identity and leadership story. He understands the struggle organizations face in telling the public what they do. Over 25 years, his work has helped senior leaders at museums, universities, government agencies, hospitals, and professional service firms develop authoritative narratives that articulate core values, mission, and key messages so they can reinforce core values; make the case for change; overcome obstacles; engage stakeholders in the lasting purpose of their organization.

His writing has been collected in two publications: Contrabrand, and The Alchemy of Content. Rob is a graduate of Queen’s University and the University of Toronto, and is the founder of Knowledge Marketing Group (1999-2013).
